Liquidation

Sir in liquidation chapter there's a case law punjab national bank v kiran shah which states that coc has no role to play and cannot move and application for removal but in this amended book there's section 34A which states that liquidator can be replaced by 66 percent vote, I'm confused if these are contradictory statements

1. Yes, the old case law and the new section say opposite things, because Section 34A was specifically brought in to overrule the legal position established by cases like Punjab National Bank v. Kiran Shah. 2. Section 34A prevails. The legislature amended the Code to grant creditors the commercial power to replace a liquidator. Always follow the amended provisions for current exams and practice.
