Section 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) provides that the procedure under CrPC is applicable to all the offences under the Indian Penal Code or any other statute and Section 5 of the CrPC stipulated that procedure provided under a special statute will prevail over the procedure provided under the CrPC.
